A Scrap of Life

I've got two new releases coming for you this week.  The first comes from the fabulous Mel Hains Designs.  Her newest release is called "Fantasy Forest".  Here's a preview of the kit. And here are the two pages I did with it, both from Carissa's 12th birthday. You can find Mel's newest kit in her store at My Memories.   The second release today is from Twin Mom Scraps.  I just love that this kit, aptly titled "Patriotic" includes non-traditional colors!  It made it so much more fun to play with.  Here's a preview of the kit and here's the page that I did with it. I'm so happy to announce that my brother returned today from his deployment, safe and sound into the arms of his family.  They waited an extra week, while he was delayed by plane issues.  I am just so proud of him and happy and relieved that he made it home safely.  Another bit of fabulous news came on Friday when I was notified that I was selected for the Designs by Jen Yurko creative team.  I was absolutely ecstatic!  Jen's kits are some of my absolute favorites and are really catered to my style... lots of great patterns, wonderful bright colors and lots of black (cause you know I love my black!).  I'm so excited to have the chance to work with even more of her kits, but for now here are a few of my first pages for the Jen Yurko Creative Team, using the Earobics (first two pages) and Take a Chill Pill (last page) kits. :)

I'm just so excited!  I've been asked to be part of the Creative Team for Twin Mom Scraps!   I absolutely love her kits and am thrilled to have the opportunity to play with them.  I just got started yesterday but I couldn't wait to play with her new Everyday Collection.   Take a look at it!   But my favorite part ... these fabulous Edged Papers.   And here it is... my first page for the Twin Mom Scraps Creative Team.

I've known Kim for a few years now, since she moved into our little sleepy town.  We have crafted and scrapped together and she's both amazingly beautiful and super creative.  I was so excited when she sent me her first scrapbook kit to check out.  I just love it! I did add the background paper (cause I'm addicted to realistic wooden background papers right now), wooden hearts and paper flower to it, but the rest is all Kim Henrie's "Oh, Hello Love" kit.  Doesn't it rock! Based on this months PageMaps challenge. :)
